b' Shabbat BagsThis partnership, which was formed by Greenwood House, The Jewish Federation of Princeton, Mercer, Bucks, and Jewish Family & Childrens Services, ensures that Jewish inpatients at Capital Health Medical Center and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center receive weekly Shabbat bags. Approximately 1,000 bags are delivered each year.Tribute DonationsHonoring and memorializing loved ones, Greenwood House friends contributed $25,894 in tribute giftsin 2022. Life and LegacySecuring our viability long into the future,33 bequest promises have been received by Greenwood House.The Synagogue Fund Appeal raised $3,315 to support the Greenwood House on-site synagogue. The Holiday Fund Appeal raised $10,000 in gratitude fordedication, care and service provided by staff year-round. The fund is distributed on an equitable basis among our entire staff asa holiday gift. Greenwood House received a $75,500 grant from the Sephardic Foundation for Dementia and Memory care initiatives. A nurse call bell system and wander guard system were purchased with the grant funds.The Wawa Foundation generously continued their annual $10,000 grant as a Meals on Wheels supporter.Finally, after two years of postponing the Battle of the Bands due to COVID-19, Greenwood House held its Get Ready to Rock for Greenwood Battle of the Bands on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Over 400 attended, and the event raised over $200,000and earned lots of kudos as well as a request for an encore event in 2023.At our June 2022 Annual Meeting, Greenwood House held the dedication of the Victor Walcoff Garden, honoring his incredible philanthropy and his long-standing commitmentto our community.11'
