Our interdisciplinary team of professionals provides
a comprehensive assessment of each resident and an individualized
treatment plan. Physical and Occupational Therapists are available
five days a week and provide skilled rehabilitation care and maintenance
therapy and a restorative range of motion program is provided for
less active residents to maintain healthy joint motion to the greatest
extent possible.
Greenwood House provides rehabilitation for orthopedic
conditions, stroke rehabilitation neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s
Disease, and cardio/pulmonary conditions. Our speech and hearing services
include evaluation and consultation, treatment of speech, hearing,
cognitive language, and eating/swallowing disorders upon referral
from the physician.
The Robert and Natalie Marcus Home for the Jewish
Aged also provides short term rehabilitative therapy for individuals
in need of nursing and health care services. This care is often needed
for individuals who have suffered a catastrophic illness or accident
that requires major changes in lifestyle requiring physical rehabilitation,
recuperation after hospitalization for serious illness, restorative
services, tube feeding, or special equipment or treatment.
