Skilled Nursing and Health Care

The Robert and Natalie Marcus Home for the Jewish Aged is a 132-bed skilled nursing facility offering comprehensive medical, nursing and nutritional care, rehabilitation therapies, social and recreational services in a nurturing Jewish cultural and religious environment. We accept all Jewish elderly regardless of their ability to pay.

With over 225 full and part-time health care professionals on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we are able to provide a continuum of health care services to our residents. Our medical staff includes board-certified geriatricians, as well as a geriatric psychiatrist who provides counseling, neuropsychological testing and clinical evaluations. Residents are visited by our medical director or other physician at least once a month for a wellness exam and more often if necessary. Our Optometry and Podiatry Clinics are staffed by specialists and dental work can be done at Greenwood House.

The nursing department is the largest at Greenwood House with a staff of over 100 licensed and certified nursing professionals trained to provide skilled nursing services essential to quality care. Certified nursing assistants help with bathing, dressing, personal care needs and other activities of daily living. Unit coordinators and nursing team leaders give medications and provide care and treatments along with supervising staff on a 24-hour basis.
