Approximately 45 membership donors and leaders of the Princeton, Mercer, and Bucks community joined us on the Greenwood House lawn at our 2017 annual meeting for wine, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert catered by Greenwood House’s own dietary department on Wednesday, June 7. The program began with welcoming remarks by our Executive Director, Rick Goldstein. Then Rabbi Isaac Leizerouski, Greenwood House’s long-time mashgiach (person that supervises the laws of kashrut or koshering of the facility) and family member gave the d’var torah which highlighted the exceptional quality of care residents receive from our caring staff. Next, Susan Falcon, our out-going president, who led our board for the past 2 years welcomed approximately 50 attendees, presented her remarks. She introduced us to Dan Goodman, our incoming president who was excited to lead Greenwood House for at least the next two years. Jeff Sussman, chair of our nominating committee, followed by presenting the slate of new officers. It was then motioned and approved by the board. Sharen Popkin, presented the May Madoff Volunteer Recognition Award to Sandy Bing, Gale Lander, and Estelle Bodner for their many years of dedicated service. Christine Reed, was our guest speaker of the evening. She explained how Greenwood House’s standards of care measure up to our competitors. She believes that because we set the bar so high we will continue to have a 5 star rating - the highest rating possible. Finally, Rick Goldstein and Dahlia Kang proudly informed us that our census numbers were very high. When the meeting was adjourned the feeling from the attendees was that they understood and appreciated our new slogan, “you’ll love the way we care”.
