Growing for Tomorrow Campaign
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide the finest care to our residents in a warm, compassionte, and home-like setting, and to develop a continuum of services to address the needs of tomorrow's seniors.
The Campaign
The Growing for Tomorrow campaign for Greenwood House will raise $6 million for an interior refurbishment of the Robert and Natalie Marcus Home for the Jewish Aged and to purchase land for a future Greenwood House campus.
Phase One
Phase one of the campaign will raise $3 million for the refurbishment of the Marcus Home. The last time we refurbished was in 1996, and after serving 1,000+ residents over the last 15 years, the wear and tear is starting to show throughout the home.
Refurbishment plans include new flooring, lighting, furnishings, and expanded storage space and flat-screen televisions in all resident rooms. A model resident room was recently completed and after feedback from staff, we are making updates to improve functionality for our residents. The model room will be open for viewing in late September.
Ways to Give
Every gift and every donor is important and has a significant impact on the lives of current and future residents. Donors may make outright gifts or deferred gifts to the campaign, including:
- Pledges and gifts of cash or securities.
- Matching gifts from your employer, foundation or other organization.
- Gifts of real estate, life insurance, and stock will be accepted, but will only be counted towards the goal if sold and the proceeds directed to the campaign.
